let go

I love these words of Lao Tzu because in order to become a successful entrepreneur you must let go of what you are; so that you can become what you might be!

Letting go of who we are is like jumping off of a cliff into the water far, far below.  The dive is scary and the water is distant.  

Entrepreneurs have a vision of who they want to become and a vision of the business that they want to create.  They let go of what they are and passionately create what they will be next.  They see the future and in that future is a new self embracing; the unknown to create a world that allows them to experience all that they can be.

I always wanted to see Mount Everest, and three years ago traveled to Nepal.  When I saw the mountain, it was remarkably majestic but not as high as I had imagined.  Often times in business, the mountain of difficulty is not as high as we imagine.  Difficulties arise which can be discouraging and can cloud our vision.   

The key is to keep climbing!
